The Last Challenge

The fire crackled. Four people were gathered around it, inside the ruined temple. One man was short, but powerfully muscled. He wore the simple garb of the steppe barbarians, and had two swords lashed across his back. Next to him, a large Nordic man sat in full Templar armour, one eye milky and white in the middle of a scar that ran the length of his face. A woman from the Indies, with dark and darting eyes, sat cross-legged opposite them in plain robes. She had a case of rare Buddhist scrolls slung across her back. The last figure looked to have travelled the furthest, a hunch-back Aztec woman. She appeared to be blind, but still carried an obsidian knife at her belt.

They had each brought some food to cook and eat.

Finally, the Buddhist woman spoke.

"Great Khan," she said to the barbarian, "Many stories of your exploits have been told in my land. I would ask you- is it really true that you slew your parents before you were out of the cradle?"

"True indeed," the short man replied, "But that does not tell the whole story. You see, my mother and father were gifted land to farm by the king, but only until their first-born son was out of the crib...."

A story-game where the characters are generated as they tell stories about their past. A cute little GM-less game that's good for players who like to improvise.
